On June 9, 2004, Emily Ann Clemons was beaten with a hammer and some other household objects. Laisha Landrum and Rocky Almestica, who were 16 like Emily, struck her dozens of times and also used the hammer’s claw on her face. They wrapped her body in a blanket and threw her in a dumpster, where a neighbor noticed her final struggles, but was too late to save her life.<\/p>\n
