A RAPIST screamed that a court was “racist” after he was sent down for raping a woman three times.<\/p>\n
Olawale Hassan said \u201cplease god, she\u2019s mine now, please do not take her away, the devil will not harm her\u201d before attacking his victim in his car.<\/p>\n
He was jailed yesterday for ten years after he was unanimously convicted of three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault by a jury.<\/p>\n
Basildon Crown Court heard that he treated his victim \u201clike a piece of meat\u201d.<\/p>\n
The 33-year-old of Falcone Avenue, Grays, also known by his stage name \u201cGoldie 1\u201d, who was \u201clooking for a woman from the off\u201d followed his victim and her friend around various nightclubs in\u00a0Southend<\/a>\u00a0in February 2017.<\/p>\n His trial heard that he had followed and watched her through the night, dancing with her and then following her around, and getting \u201cmorally outraged\u201d when she danced with other people.<\/p>\n He then found her in the early hours of the morning on February 26 as they left the nightclub, offering her a lift home. She was reluctant, saying she wanted to get a taxi, but Hassan assured her she would get home safely.<\/p>\n However, he pulled up in the car parking spaces outside the Genting Casino on Eastern Esplanade and raped her three times.<\/p>\n Between the rapes, he made a phone call to a friend while she was still in the car.<\/p>\n At Hassan\u2019s sentencing Recorder Shane Collery QC said that during the night the woman had done \u201cnothing wrong\u201d.<\/p>\n Hassan had made a phone call to his friend between the three times he raped the woman, while she was still lying in his car.<\/p>\n Recorder Collery said: \u201cTo rape someone, climb off and make a telephone call to another and leave them lying there and listening to you talking to a friend is effectively treating someone like a piece of meat.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued: “She said ‘please don’t do this to me’. She was not excited, she was terrified.<\/p>\n “This is not activity of a consensual nature. I reject there was any consensual sexual activity that night at all.<\/p>\n Reading excerpts from a victim impact statement, Recorder Collery said the victim has suffered long-term psychological impact.<\/p>\n He said: “‘The criminal proceedings have been a rollercoaster of emotions’. She reported her nightmares and flashbacks have been worse since giving evidence.<\/p>\n “‘The guilty verdicts have helped, that he was the one in the wrong.’<\/p>\n \u201cYou left her naked and terrified on the seat beside you while you made a telephone call.<\/p>\n \u201cYou returned to rape her as you chose.\u201d<\/p>\n Hassan was also disqualified from driving for 105 months.<\/p>\n As he was taken from the dock by security guards, he shouted: \u201cI didn\u2019t rape no one, I\u2019m an innocent black man.
