On March 10, 2015, Joshua Ray Richey was at a construction site when he noticed someone breaking into his work truck. Because the area was known to be dangerous, Joshua kept a weapon in the vehicle. When he approached to investigate, Damarious Thompson and Shontavious Chestnut fatally shot the father of four in the chest with his own handgun and drove away.
