FARM ATTACK

An elderly woman was attacked & seriously injured exactly two months after her husband died in her house on a farm outside Bloemfontein.
Willa Greyling, 78, was treated in the Life Rosepark Hospital’s intensive care unit, after lying injured on the floor of her house in Kwaggafontein for hours until 09:00 on Saturday.
She was later transferred to the hospital’s orthopedic department.
Greyling was assaulted by two men in her bed late Friday night, tied up & severely assaulted.
Gustav, her son, says her sternum is cracked and she has blue spots on her head & all over her body.
“Two men with balaclavas over their heads entered the house around 22:00 on Friday night. She was in bed & woke up when the men wrapped blankets around her and shoved them into her mouth. Her hands tied them with the cord of the bedside lamp. ”
The men opened the safe and fled with about R500 and Greyling’s cellphone.
