On January 14, 2020, Scott Jenks closed up the bar he tended and walked toward his car. In the parking lot, he was robbed and slowly killed by Kristoff King. Kristoff beat Scotty for over an hour while the 48-year-old father begged him to stop. A nearby surveillance camera picked up Scotty saying “No! Please stop! Stop!” and “Kris, I love you. We are friends. I love you. Kris, don’t do this. You are my friend. You are my friend.”
Kristoff’s voice was also heard on the recording, saying “Fuck you! Fuck your white life! White mother fucker… I could shoot you. You wanna die on the ground?”
