On April 13, 2017, Kane Friess-Wylie was left alone with his mother’s boyfriend. Out of frustration with some part of his babysitting duties, Gyasi Campbell “struck or slammed Kane’s head very hard,” causing a massive brain injury that killed the 2-year-old.
