– He met his 20-year-old wife on Facebook and married her in order to get a visa
– Since their marriage he has kept her, Mariam Hussain, a prisoner in her own home
– He forbade her from leaving the house alone, owning a mobile phone or having access to the internet or social media and routinely brutalized her
– He came home drunk at 1:00am and became enraged because she didn’t have his dinner ready!
He solved the problem by using a hammer against his wife!
