On May 11, 2013, Gregory Scott Giddens was killed in his home. Nathaniel Cummings and Jeffery Madison were on an extended crime spree – on a “tear of lawlessness… robbing and pillaging” according to the district attorney – when they broke in on Gregory, beating and strangling their randomly-selected victim.
