Abducted and stuffed into the trunk of her car, died from suffocation

On June 8, 2004, Edith Wood Blackwell was abducted and stuffed into the trunk of her car, where officials said she died from suffocation and heat stroke. Despite being 85 years old, Edith had been operating the hundred-cow dairy farm left to her by her late husband. Taquana Bell, Carey Williams, and Laroncus Smith were caught in a neighboring state trying to cash some of Edith’s checks.
